Students in this age group utilize our "Early Reading" section of the library. They visit the library once a week with their teacher. Time is available for stories or other library activities. Children can select from: Books (Pre-K - 2), Magazines (K - 2) & movies (2). The loan period for this age group is one week. Kindergarten and 1st Grade students may borrow one book per visit. 2nd Graders may borrow up to two items per week.
Grade 3 through Grade 8
Students in this age group have access to the early reading and juvenile sections of the library. In addition, there is a special section Young Adult (YA) for grades 5 - 8. Students in grades 3 - 4 have a regularly scheduled library book check-out period each week. In addition to books, the following materials are available: Magazines, Movies (VHS & DVD), Books on Tape/CD, and Hiking Backpacks. Students in grades 3 can borrow up to 3 items at a time and students in grade 4 can borrow up to 4 items at a time. Students in grades 5-8 have a loan period of two weeks and can borrow up to 6 items at a time.
